Perfect Penguins- Spring 1 Week 6

This week in English we have been using our detailed planning we did last week, to help us to write up our newspaper reports. Penguins enjoyed taking on the role of a reporter to do this. After half term, we will publish our Newspaper reports.

Maths

This week in Maths we have used our skills of multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 to help us to convert between different units of length, volume and Mass. Our fluency Friday lesson have helped us to do this.

Other Lessons

This week we enjoyed our last Badminton lesson where we played matches, and our last OAA activity where we played ‘Whisper Telephone’. Also this week, we celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week where we discussed and creatively explored the idea of ‘This is my Place.’ Penguins class really engaged in drawing a map of what makes their place theirs, using felt tips, colouring pencils and collage. Mrs Holt was really impressed and chose a map to go on the whole school display!
