Perfect Penguins- Spring 1 Week 5

This week in English we have continued looking at the book ‘Farm Boy’. We have spent stime discussing the ploughing match and planning what will be in each of our paragraphs, ready for writing our newspaper reports next week.

Maths
In Maths this week we have been exploring reflection and translation. Penguins enjoyed reflecting shapes across a mirror line, but found translation at the end of the week a little bit tricky. As this was the first time we have looked at translating shapes and dots, we had to learn a lot of new skills, but Penguins tried really hard with this.

Other Subjects
In PE this term, Penguins class have enjoyed learning about badminton. We have learnt how to use our playing area, how to do different serves and how to keep a rally going. Penguins are looking forward to finishing our Badminton unit by playing mini matches next week.
