Perfect Penguins- Autumn 2 Week 3

Maths
This week in Maths, we have been looking at fractions. First, we looked at equivalent fractions, then we used this knowledge to help us to order factions. It was tricky at first, but using the fractions wall really helped.

English
In English this week, we have continued our learning all about Space. This week, we have been really busy finishing writing our Non-Chronological Reports. We will publish these next week.   

Other Subjects
This week in Topic, Penguins have started the Art mini project ‘Taotie’ where we learned that a Taotie was a gluttonous creature used to decorate everyday objects in the Shang Dynasty. First, we sketched some images of Taoties, they we made these out of clay. Finally, when they are dry, we will paint these in Bronze colours so that they looked like the images we had studied.

Star of the Week: Nevaeh- For her fantastic effort in her Topic work and her non-chronological report all about space.  

Star Writer: Josh- for a wonderfully written narrative, based on the Willow Pattern Story.
