Marvellous Meerkats Spring 2 Week 3

It’s been a busy and exciting week in Year 6 as the children have been diving into some important skills across maths and English.

In maths, the class has been working hard on calculating with fractions, building confidence in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing them. They have also been tackling place value reasoning problems, using logical thinking to deepen their understanding of how numbers work and relate to each other.

In English, the children have been exploring how to write an effective leaflet. We’ve been looking closely at the key grammar features needed—such as using persuasive language, organising information clearly, and choosing sentence structures that engage the reader.

Overall, the children have shown great focus and creativity. We’re proud of their efforts and look forward to building on these skills next week!
