Maths

In Maths this week, the year 6 children have been learning how identify different types of angles and find missing angles within shapes. At the beginning of the week, we learnt how to identify vertically opposite angles. Don't forget, if an angle is vertically opposite of another angles, they have same value. The children then applied this learning into locating missing angles in shapes. The children learnt how angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees and angles in a quadrilateral equal 360 degrees. 

English

In English this week, the children have been learning about the grammatical features needed for a balanced argument. During the lessons, the children have focussed on how to use colons, different types of clauses and passive voice.
