What a fantastic week the Meerkats have had this week!

As part of our DT project 'Food for Life', the Meerkets have been cooking and baking. 

This week, the children learnt all about processed and whole foods. We began the week by looking at the difference between the two and identifying ways of processing food. 

The children then had the opportunity to cook and bake their own food. At the beginning of the week, the children made their own homemade pasta sauces, we then compared our pasta sauce to processed shop bought sauce. Take a look at the process in the pictures below. 

The children left school inspiried by their cooking and eager to carry on cooking at home!
