Maths

In Maths this week, the year 6 children have begun to look at percentages of amounts. The children started the week by learning how to find 10% of a number. The children learnt that to finfd 10% they needed to divide the number by 10. At the end of the week, they extended their learning to looking at how to find multiples of 10% e.g. 70% of 5300. 

English

In English this week, the children have began writing their explanation texts. Take a look at the blog next week for some examples of their work.
