Clever Koalas - Summer 2 - Week 6

CONGRATUALTIONS to Sophie for being chosen to be our star of the week! She has given some fantastic answers to a range of questions this week, especially during our Topic lessons. However, this is not out of the ordinary, Sophie always makes excellent contributions to class discussions, always follows the school rules and has impeccable manners! Well done Sophie for being a star!

The weeks Star Writer is Thea, Thea wrote a lovely letter to her new reception buddy! The language she used was very well chosen and she has been working exceptionally hard on her handwriting. Well done Thea!

In English this week the Koalas have completed the drafts of their newspaper report and have been publishing them for their blue folders! The children have enjoyed recounting their performance at Derby Theatre and discussing all of the hard work that went into creating the performance, well done to everyone.

In Computing this week we have completed our ‘Game Creator’ topic, every game that has been created is fantastic.  The children’s creativity and design has been brilliant, I have had a play on each game and I found some tricky to complete! Good work Koalas! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this computing topic – we finished it just in time before our iPads were collected to be updated!

We only have one full week left in Year 5, let's try to not melt in this heat and enjoy the last week 😊
