Congratulations to the whole of the Koalas for being chosen as our Stars of the Week this week! Everyone has been awarded this week due to their fantastic effort when rehearsing for our Hamlet performance in July. The children have all taken responsibility to learn their lines and are working hard on their expression and tone. Well done Koalas!!
Star Writer this week is Cooper! Cooper has been working so hard on his handwriting throughout the whole of Year 5 and has produced a beautiful letter to his future buddy this week. Well done Cooper!
Rehearsals for our Hamlet performance have continued this week! Thank you to Jago, Jude, Harmony and Jemima for volunteering to go on stage during the performance to sing ‘Why, let the stricken deer go weep’, we can’t wait to see and hear this on the day.
The Clever Koalas are also excited this week due to England’s first match of the World Cup! We have a poster of all the matches up in the classroom and have taken part in a sweepstake. The winner will receive a football! Come on England, bring it home!
Unfortunately, sports day was cancelled on Wednesday due to the very wet weather. Year 5 will have a sports day afternoon on Wednesday 8th July, we do hope you can attend.
Please remember that we will be going on our class trip next Wednesday (24th), please send your child with appropriate clothing to match the weather – sun hat and sun cream if warm, which is the current forecast!
