Clever Koalas - Summer 1 - Week 3

Congratulations to Kristarnio for achieving Star of the Week this week! Kristarnio was chosen for his unfaltering kindness that he shows to all around him.   Kristarnio is always willing to help his peers, adults in school and anyone who needs it! He is a fantastic mental health ambassador and supports others in ensuring that they are happy and have everything they need. Well done Kristarnio! 

 In English this week the Koalas have been drafting their character descriptions from a character of their choosing from Hamlet.  We have some super descriptions of Hamlet, Queen Gertrude, King Claudias, Ophelia and Horiato, the children have worked hard to use figurative language to help the reader paint a picture of their character in their head. We will type these up on Fridays lesson and print them out to place alongside our drawings of the character we chose to write about.   

On Friday this week we have celebrated International Workers Day - well done to all of those who dressed up, we had some fantastic outfits and some excellent choice of careers. The koalas were lucky enough to have Reverend Andy Bond enjoy us in the afternoon and explain all about his job and how he serves our community. A big thank you to Andy Bond taking time out of his day to talk to us all.
