Clever Koalas - Autumn 2 - Week 5

A huge well done to Jago for being chosen to receive the Star of the Week this week! Both Mrs Dewsbury and Mrs McIlroy have been very proud of Jago's contributions in class over the last couple of weeks, he has been using some fantastic scientific vocabulary during our Science lessons and has also been asking a range of intriguing questions – well done Jago! Keep up the good work!

Star Writer this week is Hamza for working extremely hard when publishing his non-chronological report all about our Solar System. Well done Hamza!                    

In class this week we have started learning about the features needed to write a setting description, we have explored: personification, similes and alliteration! The children have enjoying learning all about different types of figurative language and playing with words. We are writing these for Mark Haddon the author of The Sea Of Tranquillity which we have read in Whole Class Reading.

We have also started reading a new book at the end of each day – The Danger Gang by Tom Fletcher, this has started well and got us all intrigued!

A big well done to everyone how working hard in our assessment this week too! Well done for you all trying your best!
