Clever Koalas - Autumn 2 - Week 3

A huge well done to Hannah for being chosen to receive Star of the Week this week.  Hannah was chosen due to her continuous effort in all that she does! She is our fantastic JLT representative and a great role model in class. Well done Hannah!

Star Writer this week is Markuss! He created an excellent planning map in his English book and has been working hard on all of his writing.

Well done to everyone in the Koalas for completing in the England Rocks competition on TT Rockstars! We worked hard on our times tables and managed to be the winning class in the school!!

On Thursday this week we designed and created our own Taoties out of clay! This was an excellent afternoon – if not a little bit messy!! Everyone enjoyed getting their hands very wet and covered in clay, different techniques were used to shape the clay and build up their own Chinese Taoties!

In Maths, the Koalas have been working hard on their fraction knowledge – we recapped the different parts of a fraction to start with and then began comparing and ordering a range of fractions.  At the end of the week we began converting the denominators so we are able to compare different fractions, this is tricky work, well done to everyone for concentrating and trying their best.
