Clever Koalas - Autumn 2 - Week 2

Firstly, a huge well done to Theodore for being chosen to receive Star of the Week this week. Theodore has had an excellent start to this half term and has been doing fantastic research at home to support his learning in English.  He has also already brought in some evidence to place in his pledge folder towards his pledge badges! Well done Theodore you have had an excellent start to this half term.

Star Writer this week is Megan, she has created an excellent planning map in her English book and worked super hard on her handwriting all week. Keep it up Megan!   

Congratulations to everyone in Koalas who have been working on being awarded their pen license! Big congratulations to Fatna, Leonard, Theo S and Kyle who were presented with theirs in assembly last Friday.

Another well done is needed for Kristarnio who was selected to become a Mental Health Ambassador following his excellent application, well done Kristarnio, it is thoroughly deserved!

This week at Reigate we have launched The Harmony Trust pledge book! Every child has their own folder containing information regarding 10 pledges that they will collect evidence for and work towards achieving their pledge badge for each year group.  The Koalas are really excited about this challenge and hopefully have explained it to you at home, we look forward to everyone achieving their pledges.

On Friday this week we participated in BBC Children In Need and raising money for the charity. The children all came into school in their favourite outfits and we spent the afternoon completing a range of Pudsey activities, including taking part in a design competition for his bandana. We will announce the winner next week!
