Date: 3rd Oct 2025 @ 12:26pm
A huge congratulations to Jude for being awarded the Star of the Week this week. Jude received this award for always having super manners and trying his best in all of his subjects. Jude takes a lot of pride in his work and wants to do his best in whatever task or activity he is doing! Well done Jude, truly deserved!
Star Writer this week goes to Darcy, she has been chosen for her fantastic biography of Fu Hao. Darcy showed excellent presentation and is working hard on her handwriting in the hope of getting a pen licence soon!
In English this week we have been focussing on a number of grammar skills that we need to be able to write our 500 word narratives. The children have all enjoyed learning about similes and inverted commas through some excellent, catchy songs. Please use the links below to play this at home and ask your children to sing along! 😊

In Topic this week the Koalas have created some excellent information posters in pairs! These posters were centered all around weapons used in the Shang Dynasty. Some children focused on the types of axes that were made and used in battle, others focused on the helmets and chariots. They were some lovely, eye catching posters and some great illustrations, well done everyone!
Hannah, our JLT representative has started her JLT duties this week and is thoroughly enjoying them. Hannah has had her first meeting with Mr Hughes (The Harmony Trust CEO) this week and presented herself and the Koalas fantastically!
Next Wednesday, the 8th October we will being doing a class assembly at 9am all about our learning in Topic so far! We hope you are all able to come along and celebrate the Koala’s learning.
Enjoy your weekend!
