Clever Koalas- Autumn 1 Week 2

Maths
In Maths lessons this week we have been continuing our learning of Place Value. We have been writing, ordering and comparing numbers up to 1 million! Koalas found this tricky at first but soon understood it.

English
In English this week, we continued our learning about the Willow Pattern Story. We also learned more about subordinate clauses and parenthesis; features we will add to our writing when we write our alternate endings.

Other Subjects
In topic this week, we have continued our learning about ‘Dynamic Dynasties’. On Tuesday we had our exciting Shang Dynasty experience day where we learned all about the story of the Shang Dynasty, using drama and acting to tell the story ourselves. In the afternoon, we created a class dragon, by each making a scale.  Additionally, we read the willow pattern story and created our own willow pattern paper plate designs.

On Friday we had a special visit from the Big Bus, and we got the chance to look at and buy books to raise money for school.
