Cheetahs Summer Term 2 Week 2
Date: 12th Jun 2026 @ 7:41am
Take a look at our learning this week 🦖..
English
This week in English we have been writing sentences about super vegetables and the amazing strengths they might have. The children worked hard to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops while creating imaginative ideas about what their vegetables could do. We have had some lovely ideas such as: freeze breath to trap Evil Pea; stretchy arms to lift Evil Pea and even an invisibilty belt so he can sneak up on Evil Pea.
Maths
In Maths we have been practising the inverse operation to help us check our answers. We have also been solving missing number problems using the part part whole method. The children have shown great focus and are becoming more confident in explaining how they know an answer is correct.
Topic
In Topic we have been designers. The children planned and made their own sandwiches, thinking carefully about ingredients, taste and how to put everything together. They followed their plans brilliantly and were very proud of their finished sandwich. They especially enjoyed eating them! However, some of their sandwiches were quite a random mix such as having jam, ham, lettuce and cheese together!
