Maths

In Maths, we have been practising our subtraction skills using both a 100 square and number lines. The children have worked brilliantly to jump back in steps, solve problems, and explain their thinking. It’s been wonderful to see everyone growing in confidence with their number work!

English

In English, we’ve been focusing on writing clear, well-punctuated sentences and learning all about fact files what they are, why they’re useful, and how to create one.  Mrs Pycroft and Mrs Pericleous kindly shared fact files about their own families, holidays, and pets, which the children absolutely loved.  was especially excited to tell the class that she also loves hot holidays!

Topic

As part of our 'Mix It' project, we continued exploring colour. This week we used primary and secondary paints to create beautiful symmetrical designs. We also had a go at making funny faces as we began learning about portraiture. Well done to Ayoob for a fantastic self portrait.
