Cheetah Class Summer 2 Week 1

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In English, we have been looking at the book ‘Supertato. We have learnt all about Evil Pea and his devilish antics with the different pieces of fruit. We have explored question sentences this week and put ourselves in the fruit’s predicament and came us with our questions to get help. Well done to Kolt who asked ‘Who will save me?’

In maths, we have been recapping number lines, partitioning numbers into tens and ones and comparing numbers using ‘more than’ ‘less than’ and ‘equal to’. It has been lovely to see how the confidence in the children has grown. Special mention to Metehan for trying really hard in partitioning his numbers, you did a great job!

In topic, we have started our exciting DT mini project all about where our food comes from and food preparation. We’ve been learning about chopping, slicing, grating and peeling. We even made our own fruit salads and topped them with orange juice. Cheetah’s found this incredibly tasty and it was lovely, healthy afternoon treat!
