Cheetah Class Summer 1 Week 4

Date: 16th May 2025 @ 2:32pm

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In English, the children have been busy drafting their own exciting stories all about fantasy schools! It’s been wonderful to see their imaginations come to life. A special mention to Cienna, who came up with the brilliant idea of a robot teacher with four wiggly arms, how clever!

In maths, we’ve been learning all about measures, with a focus on money, mass, and time. The children have made fantastic progress since we last looked at these concepts. We practised reading scales and talked about grams and kilograms, comparing weights and solving practical problems.

As part of our topic work, we took a wonderful step back in time with our trip to Crich! The children experienced what school was like in the Victorian era by dressing in traditional Victorian school wear and took part in a lesson with a very strict teacher. One of the highlights was using slates to write the alphabet, just like children did over 100 years ago. We also took a tram ride which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Star Writer – Callie for improved handwriting.

Star of the Week – Arthur for his superb effort in English.

Class attendance – 99.31%
