Cheetah Class Spring 2 Week 5

Date: 27th Mar 2026 @ 2:07pm

English

In English, we’ve been busy writing sentences all about seasonal changes. The children have been practising using and, creating comparison sentences, and choosing exciting adjectives to bring their ideas to life. A special well done to George W, who wrote lots of fabulous sentences independently. Your presentation and handwriting were beautifully consistent, great effort!

A special well done to Clara, George F, David, Axton, Kaylen, Lockie, Ada-Grace, Christiano, Owais amd Taron for working independently during the English writing on Autumn description.

Maths

In Maths, we explored position and directional language. The children loved learning how to tell left from right, and we discovered a handy trick: when you hold both hands up, your left hand makes an L shape. This helped us navigate, describe movement, and follow directions.

Topic

In Topic, the children created their very own collagraph prints inspired by different weather systems. This linked beautifully with our Science work, and the results were very creative.

Well done, Cheetahs, you’ve worked incredibly hard this half term. Have a restful Easter break, and don’t forget to keep practising those phonics gaps!
