Cheetah Class Autumn 2 Week 2
Date: 14th Nov 2025 @ 2:43pm
Take a look at our learning this week
English
In English, we’ve been learning all about life in the 1950s. The children have been writing sentences to match what they’ve discovered about this fascinating decade. Harley told me, “The greengrocers sold fruit and vegetables!” How true, Harley! We’ve also started planning a very special piece of writing, a letter to Miss Nancy, a lady who was a young girl in the 1950s and now lives in a retirement home. The children are looking forward to writing and sending their letters next week!
Maths
In Maths, we’ve been exploring numbers using tens sticks and ones. The children have enjoyed lots of practical activities to help them understand how numbers can be made and partitioned. They’ve also begun recording their work carefully in their books. Fantastic effort, Cheetah Class!
Topic
Our topic lessons have taken us on a mini geography adventure. We’ve been learning about settlements, hedgerows, continents, and oceans. The children really enjoyed a continent song, which teaches them all about the seven continents and a fact about each one.
