Cheetah Class Autumn 1 Week 8

Date: 24th Oct 2025 @ 3:22pm

What a brilliant first half term we've had in Cheetahs Class! The children have settled into Year 1 so well and have impressed us with their curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning.

This half term, we’ve travelled back in time to the 1950s, learning all about homes from the past. The children have enjoyed exploring the features and materials used in houses during that time and have loved comparing them with the homes we live in today. It’s been wonderful to see them ask thoughtful questions and make clever connections in their learning.

In English, we have been working hard on writing descriptive sentences. This week, the children published their teddy bear descriptions, using full sentences and adjectives. A special well done to Harley, who made a fantastic effort and included the sentence “It has pink paws.” Great job, Harley!

In Maths, we’ve been learning about 2D shapes, focusing on their sides and corners. The children have become shape detectives, identifying shapes in the classroom and around the school!

Have a lovely break, and we’ll see you all soon for more exciting learning!
