Cheetah Class Autumn 1 Week 2

Our brilliant Year 1s have settled in beautifully. From the moment they walked through the Cheetah door, they’ve been full of smiles, curiosity, and excitement.

The children have absolutely loved diving into our continuous provision areas whether it’s building magnificent towers in construction, creating colourful masterpieces using our writing equipment, or snuggling up with a book in our cosy reading corner.

They’ve already produced their very first piece of Year 1 writing! We’ve been so impressed with their amazing ideas and how they’re using their phonics to spell out words.

In Maths, we’ve been counting forwards and backwards, spotting patterns, and filling in missing numbers like number detectives! The children have enjoyed singing counting songs and using practical resources to help them solve problems and make sense of numbers.
