Butterflies Spring 2 Week 4

In Maths, we are learning all about doubles! We learned that it is a double if the two parts are the same number. Then, we practiced recall double amounts. We were great at chanting "double 1 is 2, double 2 is 4" and so on! 

 

Literacy and Topic   

This week, we were looking at our Puddles and Rainbows topic, focusing on rainbows and colours. On Monday, we went on a walk around the school grounds and spotted lots of different colours in the environment. After our walk, we read ‘Brown Bear’ and discussed the colours in the book. Then, we wrote sentences about the colours we saw on our walk.

In the craft area, we created bears from our ‘Brown Bear’ story. We used paint on one side of the page, then folded it to print the paint onto the other side. We really enjoyed this activity!
