Butterflies Spring 2 Week 2

Take a look at the Brilliant Butterflies' learning this week...

 

Thank you to parents and carers for supporting your child in dressing up for World Book Day! It was lovely to see so many wonderful book characters. 

 

In Maths, we are learning about numbers up to 10. We have practiced subitising different amounts and ordering them. We talked about how numbers are ‘more than’ others, and that’s why they are in a certain order. We were really confident with this! 

 

Literacy and Topic   

In Literacy, we read ‘Dear Dinosaur’ and talked about the different ways the boy and T-Rex communicated in the story e.g. letters, emails and postcards. We then wrote our own letter to the T-Rex to tell him about school!

The next day, the T-Rex had written back to us! He asked us to create a map of an island for him and his friends. We talked about what the different dinosaurs would like and need, then we drew our own maps.
