Butterflies Spring 1 Week 5

 

In Maths, we are learning about the numbers 6 and 7. We talked about how 6 is 5 + 1 and 7 is 5 + 2. We practised representing these amounts on our fingers, using cubes and drawing counters. We also created number lines with numbers up to 7. 

 

In Literacy, we read ‘Owl Babies’ and we created owls using forks and paint to create the texture of feathers.  As part of our Starry Night topic, we learned about nocturnal animals. We talked about how animals can see in the dark and how they might find food. Then, we had a go at drawing our favourite nocturnal animals.
