Butterflies Autumn 1 Week 4

 

Take a look at the Brilliant Butterflies' learning this week...

 

In Maths, we have been learning all about patterns. We practised spotting repeating patterns and saying what came next, with AB and ABB patterns. Then, we had a go at making and continuing repeating patterns, using different coloured cones. 

 

To start the week, we went on an Autumn Walk around the school grounds. We talked about the different signs of Autumn we could see and collected evidence of Autumn. We spotted blackberries, leaves and lots of birds! 

In Literacy, we read the story ‘Percy the Park Keeper – After the Storm’ by Nick Butterworth. After reading the story, we talked about the colour of Autumn leaves and created Autumn trees.
