Take a look at the Brilliant Butterflies' learning this week...
This week, we read the story ‘Have You Filled a Bucket Today?’ by Carol McCloud. We talked about how we can fill our buckets and what things make us happy. Some of our ideas were having a hug with our grownups or playing with our favourite toys. Then, we drew these into our own buckets. We also talked about how we could fill other people’s buckets and came up with lots of good ideas, including inviting our friends to play with us or helping each other.
We had lots of fun in our first PE lessons this week. On Monday, we went to the hall for a dance lesson which followed a theme of cars. We had to get into our cars and put on our seatbelts before moving around the space. We jumped over potholes and spun around roundabouts, while listening out for traffic light instructions. We particularly enjoyed it when we moved in our cars to the music!
We also had our first Music lesson this week. We are learning the song 'I've got a grumpy face' which we enjoyed listening to. We practised tapping the beat and doing different actions to match the lyrics of the song.
