Maths

This week, we have enjoyed completing different Maths activities to support our counting skills. We counted different sea creatures in a rock pool to find out how many of each creature there were. We also read different numbers and coloured in the right number of ice-cream scoops to complete the ice-cream cones. Alice loved these activities!

Literacy

We have focused on our phonics learning this week. We enjoyed using phonics play to practise our phonemes and practise blending different phase 3 words. We have also completed different writing activities, where we have applied our phonics to write different words. Finn worked hard on the 'ng' activity sheet, writing words like 'fang' and 'wing'.

Well done everyone for a great year in Reception! Everyone has worked so hard this year and made great progress with their learning, Miss Benson and Mrs Skelton are really proud of you all. Have a lovely summer and best of luck in Year 1!
