Maths

In Maths, we learned to count in 5s. We used a number grid to identify the numbers we say when counting in 5s and noticed they all have a 5 or 0 on the end. We practiced counting cubes in groups of 5, it was much quicker! George and David were confident with this. 

Literacy

In Literacy, we read the story ‘A Story About Afiya’. We talked about how the pictures on Afiya’s dress represent her memories! Then, we talked about our own favourite memories and wrote about these. Isabel worked hard to use her phonics in her writing. 

Topic

In Topic, we created our own memory t-shirt, just like in 'A Story About Afiya', drawing different images to represent our favourite memories from the year in Reception. Some of the memories we drew were releasing butterflies, seeing the flowers on our spring walk and our teddy bear picnic.
