Maths

In Maths, we revisited subtraction. We practiced reading and writing subtraction number sentences. Then, we used beanbags to help find the answer. We also learned how to use a number line to solve subtraction questions. Christiano and Arthur did an excellent job answering subtraction questions with a number line. 

Literacy

In Literacy, we read the story ‘Jake’s First Day’. We talked about Jake’s worries and what helped Jake. We also thought about our own changes coming up: moving to Year 1! We talked about our worries and what can help us. Then, we wrote about things we are excited for in Year 1.

Topic

In Topic, we listened to the story ‘One Year With Kipper’ and talked about the changes over the year for Kipper. Then, we reflected on our own school year, using our learning journey to remember what we have done each month.
