Maths

In Maths, we practiced recalling our number bonds to 5 and 10. We used beanbags to explore the different pairs to make 5 and 10. We also used our fingers to help us identify number bonds.

On Wednesday it was National Numeracy Day! The theme this year was money. We looked at the different coins we use and talked about their value. Then, we used the coins to buy different toys from the shop.

Literacy

In Literacy, a jar of honey arrived!  We discussed where this might have come from and who made the honey. Then, we read the text ‘The Busy World of Bees’ to learn about bees!

Topic

In Topic, we watched a video about ‘Amazing Critters’. Then, we explored different non-fiction books to learn more about different mini beasts. We also learned about ant colonies and what worker ants do. Then, we became ants! We worked in teams to transport and carry different equipment!
