Bears Summer 1, Week 4

In Maths, we are learning about composition of number. We recapped different ways we can make five and practised representing this through cubes, using our hands and singing familiar nursery rhymes. Then, we explored how numbers 6-9 are made of 5 and a bit.

In Literacy, we read the story ‘Summer is Here!’. We talked about places we might go in the summer and activities we might do then. We wrote our ideas about summer. We also watched a video all about sun safety. We talked about what we need to do to keep ourselves safe during summer and created a class poster with our sun safety tips.
