This week we have been practising for our Nativity! We are enjoying singing and signing our songs and we are very excited to perform to you next week! 

Maths

In Maths, we are learning about number bonds to five. Using different coloured cubes we explored pairs of numbers that make 5. We also explored addition and subtraction sentences, using our number bonds to 5.

Literacy and Topic   

In Literacy, we are learning all about Hanukkah. We learned about the story of the Maccabees and why Hanukkah is celebrated. We also learned about what happens during Hanukkah, including the games played, the food that’s eaten and the places visited. For our writing task, we wrote a recipe for Latkes, a potato pancake that is made and eaten during the celebration of Hanukkah.
