Maths

In Maths, we learned three rules for counting:

• Count everything once
• Say the numbers in the right order
• The last number is how many there are

We had a go at counting different things following these rules. We also thought about different ways numbers are represented. We used cubes to explore numbers 1-5 in different ways. For example, 4 could be one straight line, an L shape or a square! 

Literacy and Topic   

In Literacy, we read the story ‘Cinderella’ and discussed how she became a queen. Then, we thought about what it would be like if we became kings and queens. We came up with different rules we would make! We also looked at pictures of real kings and queens and described them, talking about their clothes, accessories and facial expressions. Then, we completed sentences to describe them.   

In provision, we drew ourselves as kings and queens, thinking carefully about what accessories we would need to show we are royal.
