Bears Autumn 2, Week 2

Date: 13th Nov 2025 @ 7:46am

Take a look at the Brilliant Bears' learning this week...

We have taken part in lots of different events this week. On Monday, we wore odd socks as part of Anti-Bullying week. On Tuesday, we learned about Remembrance day and held a 2-minute silence. On Friday, we wore our favourite clothes for Children in Need! Thank you to everyone who took part and parents/carers for your support in this.

Maths

In Maths, we learned about the number 4! We identified where 4 goes on the number line and practiced making 4 in different ways with our cubes. Then, we explored splitting 4 up into two different amounts e.g. 1 and 3 or 2 and 2, using cubes and a part, part whole model. We also began exploring the number 5, using a number line and nursery rhymes.

Literacy and Topic

This week, we read ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. After reading the story, we had a go at making porridge! We talked about the ingredients we needed and the steps we had to follow to make the porridge. We took it in turns stirring the porridge, then enjoyed tasting it!
