Autumn 2026 - Week 5
Date: 9th Oct 2026 @ 4:00pm
In Maths this week, we have started multiplying numbers by 0, 1, 10 and 100. We have been working on developing our answers for reasoning questers and using Maths sentence starter such as ‘The answer is incorrect because…’ ‘I think that…..’
During this week in English, the children started looking at a narrative. They found out that they would be writing a narrative to entertain our Year 1 classes. The children have started looking at features that might be included in their narrative. We have been describing our characters and settings.
in topic we have been learning about King Athelstan and how he was important.
For Black History Month we have learnt about Paraolympican Ade Adepitan. We learnt about his history, achievements and why people think he is an inspiration.
We also got to wear our own clothes that represented a country special to use for Global Schools Day.
