Autumn 2026 Week 1

What a great start to the new year! The children have settled well into class and have been showing us some super learning. 

In Maths this week, we have been looking at Place Value. The children have been looking at the value of digits in a 4-digit numbers. They have also used this knowledge to order and partition numbers. 

During this week in English, the children started looking at a non-chronological report. They found out that they would be writing a non-chronological report to inform Jorvik-The Dig about artefacts found during an archeological dig. 

In Topic we have been delving into the past and looking at the Middle Ages and which groups invaded Britain. The children have worked together to sequence historical events using a timeline and discussed why the Romas left Britain.
