Autumn 2025 Week 2

In Maths this week, we have been looking at Rounding 4-digit numbers. The children have been rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 100. We have been recapping our 2-, 5- and 10-times tables. 

This week in English, the children have been looking at features of a non-chronological report. We have discussed that they need to have facts and sub-headings. The children looked at different sentences openers and what descriptive language they could use. They have picked an animal that they want to write their report about. 

During PHSE we looked at rules. We compared school rules to home rules, and why they are important as well as what happens if they are broken! 

This week we started swimming on Monday, the children showed great listening skills whilst doing this.
