Autumn 1 - Week 6

In English this week the children have been working hard on learning about all the features of a non-chronological report. We have looked at different types of non-chronological reports and discussed similarities and differences.

Maths

In Maths. Year 3 have been learning different methods for multiplication and division. The children have worked hard on learning these new skills and we will continue to build on these skills throughout the year.

Topic

In Topic lessons, the children have been learning about the Iron Age. We have learned about Celts and their ways of life and their beliefs. We have learned about hillforts and why they were such an important part of living during the iron Age.

Thank you for helping your child complete their weekly home learning tasks. Just a reminder that home learning is given out (on paper) every Thursday and must be brought back to school before the following Thursday.  Please support your child with reading at least 3 times a week. Please record all weekly reading in your child’s reading diary.
