What a great start Reception and Nursery have had to the start of the year!
Reception have been learning new signs for greetings: hello, goodbye, good morning, good afternoon and emotions: happy, sad, excited, angry.
Nursery have been learning to sign number 0 - 5, then counting how many frogs are on the log and singing 5 little speckled frogs.
To help the children learn new signs we used symbols so the children know when to say a word and when to sign (voice off) a word. Please see below the symbols that we use.
