Autumn 1 - Week 3

Star of the Week 🌟
A huge congratulations to Max, who is our first Star of the Week! Max has started Year 6 with an excellent attitude to learning and has given 100% effort in everything he has done. In addition, Max was selected this week to represent our class on the Junior Leadership Team (JLT). What an incredible week. Well done, Max. We are so proud of you!

Star Writer ✍️
A special well done to Geoffrey, who produced an excellent diary entry. He carefully selected ambitious vocabulary to make his writing engaging and effective. Super work, Geoffrey!

English 📚
This week, we have been using Windrush Child as inspiration for drafting and writing diary entries from Leonard’s perspective. The children have worked incredibly hard and have thought carefully about the thoughts, feelings and experiences they wanted to include in their writing.

PE 🏃
In PE, the children have enjoyed taking part in dodgeball lessons. They have learnt and practised a range of dodging techniques and have successfully applied these skills during game situations.

Well done for another excellent week, Year 6! Have a wonderful weekend. 😊
