Maths

In Maths this week, the children have continued to develop their understanding of place value. We have been learning about the standard and expanded form of numbers, comparing and ordering numbers. Towards the end of the week, the children have been learning to count in multiples and following sequences.

English

In English this week, the children have been unpicking different narratives, looking for features and discussing the similarities and differences between them. The children have also been learning about difference word classes and identifying the different word classes within different texts.

Topic

In Topic this week, the children have been learning all about the Stone Age. We have learned about the three different time periods, Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic and how the tools and settlements of the Stone Age people evolved over time.
