Alligators week 3

This week in Year 6, we’ve been busy combining creativity, teamwork, and lots of brainpower!

Design Technology
Our bridge-building project is really coming together. We have continued testing different bridge designs, thinking carefully about strength, stability, and structure. It’s been fantastic to see how much our engineering knowledge has grown as we experiment with materials and shapes to make our bridges as strong as possible.

Maths
In Maths, we’ve been revising fractions — simplifying them, comparing them, and adding and subtracting. Everyone is becoming much more confident in explaining their methods and showing working clearly.

English
This week in English, we’ve started writing persuasive leaflets about the Arctic. We’ve been using powerful adjectives, persuasive phrases, and rhetorical questions to encourage readers to visit this fascinating and fragile environment.
