Reigate Park Primary AcademyOnline Safety Curriculum
At Reigate Park Primary Academy we strongly believe that ensuring our children are equipped with important knowledge and skills about how to keep safe online is essential.
We cover some of these important issues through our PSHE curriculum. However we also ensure that other areas of Online Safety Education are also taught explicitly.
Our curriculum is directed by a framework called Education for a Connected World which has been produced by the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS). This framework is aimed at equipping children and young people for digital life.
To support the teaching of the framework we use Purple Mash and the National Online Safety website.
We have included a document which gives an overview of the explicit Online Safety curriculum which is taught outside of our PSHE lessons. This overview is based on the 8 areas of the Framework.
