Spring 2 Week 3

Date: 15th Mar 2024 @ 3:57pm

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In English, we have been drafting and publishing our letter to Samuel Pepys. We have given detailed accounts about what occurred on each day. We have used describing words in our piece of writing and even looked at writing questions to Samuel Pepys. Some questions that were asked were: 'Where did you bury your wine and cheese?', 'Did your house burn down?' and 'Why did you stop writing in your diary?'

In Topic this week have been scientists! We have observed the temperature over three days and measured it both in the morning and in the afternoon. We then created a bar graph with the data collected. We have learnt about precipitation and the different types you can have. We have even conducted a scientific experiment on rainfall. We also learnt that you can measure wind using the Beaufort Scale. We then observed the wind outside on 5 different days and recorded the data in a table and then analysed the results and answered questions using the data.

On Friday, we raised money for Red Nose Day, we all looked fantastic in our red clothing. Thank you for your donations.

Well done to our 'Star of the Week' which is Ruby-Mai. Ruby-Mai has been working really hard this week on her resilience in her work. She has tried really hard this week and has shown some great resilience when completing her work.

Our star writer this week is Hunter, he has been working really hard in his English lessons and tried really hard producing his published piece of writing to Samuel Pepys, well done!
