Spring 1 Week 2

This week we have been thinking about night-time. Our story of the week 'Peace at Last' followed the journey of Mr Bear trying to get a good night's sleep. The different noises at night kept him awake, no matter where he moved to! 

We talked about the different night-time sounds Mr Bear heard and had a think about other night-time sounds we might hear. Ivana thought of lots of ideas and we were really impressed she remembered the word 'nocturnal' when describing animals that come out at night - Well done Ivana! 

In Maths, we have explored different ways to measure time. We learnt a song to teach us the days of the week, talked about the different times of the day and sequenced a school day. The Butterflies then had a practise at making different times with the clocks. Noah was fantastic at telling the different times - Well done Noah.

We enjoyed using lots of different art skills to design our own pyjamas. We added some fringing, created mosiac patterns and added texture with different materials.
