Autumn 2 Week 4

Date: 30th Nov 2023 @ 9:15am

We have been reading the story of 'Little Red Riding Hood' The children enjoyed practising their scary wolf voice and imagining how scared Little Red Riding Hood must have been. We talked about why it is important to listen to our grown-ups when they tell us not to talk to strangers. In our writing, we wrote a list of goodies to take to Grandma. Neriah did a fantastic job of applying her phonic sounds to her writing. Well done Neriah! :)

This week in Maths, we have been learning about finding 1 less. The Butterflies took a bus to Grandma's house and one passenger got off to deliver Grandma a basket of food. We have enjoyed singing 'Ten Green Bottles' and 'Ten in the Bed' to help us with this. Gracie-Mae was super quick at saying the number 1 less! Well done Gracie-Mae! :)

The Butterflies are getting very excited about Christmas! We have been practising our Nativity song and digging out the decorations ready to decorate the classroom.

Well done to Thea-Ivy for getting this week's 'Star of the Week' Thea-Ivy has been working really hard with her phonics. We are so proud of her! :)
